So we went camping this last weekend... my first time! We went tanking our second day up. (For those of you who do NOT live in a redneck state, this is basically floating down the river in a slightly modified agricultural feed tank or water tank. This is certainly the most hillbilly thing I have ever done, lol.)
At any rate, when I got into the tank I accidentally dropped my bag pretty hard. And I have cracked the inner screen of my camera's viewfinder. >.< It's a point-and-shoot, so the LCD screen is the only viewfinder. It still takes pictures fine, but I can't see the top 1/3 of what the crap I'm trying to photograph. (See photos of the carnage in my Scraps!)
I googled and found some dude on a discussion board who said, despite having no prior DIY skillz, he successfully and easily repaired the same problem (same camera model, inner LCD glass) with a replacement screen from Amazon and a YouTube video. I have ordered the replacement screen. Let the amateur camera repair adventures begin!
